Dental Bonding Tempe AZ
Bonding is an alternative to veneers, and can be used as a restorative procedure for teeth that are chipped, cracked, discolored, crowded or widely spaced.
How does it work?
The tooth is prepared for the procedure by lightly preparing and cleaning the surface of the tooth and applying a bonding liquid. Then a tooth colored resin filling material is applied and sculpted into the desired shape by the dentist. The material is instantly cured and then trimmed, smoothed and polished to a natural appearance.
The bonding procedure can often be completed in a single office visit, and can improve the appearance of your teeth significantly. However, since the resin material used is not as strong as your natural tooth enamel, it can eventually stain, chip or break needing replacement or repair. Bonding typically lasts about five years before needing any repair.
